Aluminium Alloy

Anticorodal 6082

The anticorodal alloy 6082, an alloy of aluminium-silicon-magnesium-manganese of general use, is characterised by its excellent mechanical properties and, is at the top of the alloys 6000 especially due to excellent resistance to corrosion and weldability, as a result it also ensures good machinability.

Automobile and railway constructions, in general mechanics for automatic machines with structural parts with high resistance to corrosion or architectural details.

Density: 2.69 g/cm3 at 20° C

Fibral 5083

This aluminium-magnesium alloy is characterised by excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion, and displays not very high mechanical characteristics with good formability and weldable by fusion.

The alloy demonstrates excellent toughness both at room temperature and at low temperatures.

Cladding panels, containers under pressure, trucks and tankers, ships, wheels, cryogenic applications, various mechanical parts, mechanical equipment and applications that do not require very high static mechanical qualities but good fatigue resistance.

Density: 2.660 g/cm3 at 20° C

Avional 2024

An aluminium-copper alloy generally used in aeronautics or in general sophisticated sectors, the material is characterised by good machinability, and high strength and toughness.

Avional 2024 also presents a good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, but especially good resistance to high temperatures and the various stages of applicable treatment, give it variable properties within wide limits.

Therefore, the areas of use range from structural parts with substantial requirements of strength and damage tolerance, to critical machine parts in general.

Density: 2.780 g/cm3 at 20° C

Ergal 7075

It is characterised by being the lightest aluminium alloy, from a mechanical standpoint, more resistant to shocks, strain, weight and torsion but may display stress corrosion problems.

Ergal 7075 is an aluminium-zinc-magnesium-copper alloy, of aeronautical origin, used for general sophisticated applications, characterised by excellent workability with machine tools and very high resistance.

This alloy has a limited hardenability, therefore the mechanical qualities decrease significantly due to the thicknesses, but its poor thermal dilatation means it can also be used outside even in environments subject to great temperature fluctuations.

Structural parts with high strength requirements, critical machine parts in general.

Density: 2.81 g/cm3 at 20° C
